Upper Twin Lake

Wildflowers are abundant through the summer on the trail to Twin Lakes

Discover the Beauty of Twin Lakes and Beyond

Experience one of the local hiking community's favorite trails, starting from Huntington Lake. The trailhead can be accessed from Sample Meadow or the D and K Pack Station parking lot off Kaiser Road, just 4.5 miles from Highway 168.

This scenic trail offers a wealth of natural beauty, with vibrant wildflowers blooming even in late summer. Your first stop is the serene Lower Twin Lake, but don't settle in just yet. A short quarter-mile hike will bring you to the even more picturesque Upper Twin Lake. At the eastern end of Upper Twin Lake, you'll find a small creek that overflows during years of heavy snowpack, leading to a dramatic rock outcropping where the creek mysteriously disappears into the earth.

Continue your adventure with an additional mile hike to reach the stunning Lake George, completing a journey filled with breathtaking landscapes and unforgettable views.
