Mariposa Coffee Company
What does a bay area family do after their successful furniture business was forced to close following the Loma Prieto earthquake? They move to Mariposa and purchase a rustic 1920's trading post and learn how to roast coffee! Of course!
That's what the Caputo family did in 1991. And now, after decades of serving locally roasted coffee beans to the community and to travelers from all over the world, the Mariposa Coffee Company has become a destination before the destination - Yosemite National Park.
The forested location and unique character of the building and it's contents, make it the perfect place for taking photographs.
The picturesque building is located on beautiful Highway 49 near Mariposa. There's lots to photograph both inside and outside of the cozy coffee shop. You'll feel like you stepped back in time, and you'll be able to capture that feeling in your pictures.
Gerry Caputo and his family run the company. They will make you feel like family.
