Fresno’s Chaffee Zoo is highly rated for good reason. The environments they provide for the animals are similar to what they would have in the wild. It affords the opportunity to get unobstructed photos of all types of animals. Elephants, rhinos, giraffes, storks, tropical birds, reptiles. Not interested in a giraffe? How about a Komodo dragon? Or a goat.

Photo Tips
Most important to take a fast zoom or telephoto lens, a monopod is more convenient than bringing a tripod. The animals are most active when during the most temperate time of day; mornings in the summer and afternoons in the winter
