About the Instructor
Joseph “Jody” Hawkins Jr. is a passionate landscape and astrophotographer who has traveled extensively, capturing the beauty of diverse cultures and landscapes around the world. Through years of experience, he has refined a proven workflow for planning, photographing, and processing stunning night-sky images. Most recently, Jody attended the week-long Nightscaper Conference in New Mexico, where he collaborated with and learned from some of the leading experts in astrophotography. Committed to continually expanding his skills and embracing the latest technology, Jody stays at the forefront of the craft. He is enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge, techniques, and practical tips with photographers of all experience levels, helping others create compelling images of the night sky.
